ST 501Scenic Mountain Tours
While North Georgia, Eastern Tennessee, and Western North
Carolina boast some of the best motorcycle roads in the country,
many riders are unfamiliar with these roads. Atlanta Motorcycle
Schools offers one-, two-, and three-day tours in this tri-state
area that provide motorcyclists with the opportunity to enjoy
the beautiful and lightly-trafficked Appalachian highways
while practicing the skills and techniques of mountain road
riding. Techniques covered during the tours include proper
cornering lines, gear selection, line-of-sight, proper passing,
and selecting speeds appropriate for traffic and weather conditions.
Speed will be adjusted to allow for differences in motorcycles
and riding styles but will not exceed speed limits.
Rider-to-instructor ratios will not exceed three-to-one.
Motorcycles must be in excellent mechanical condition with
good tires and reasonably quiet mufflers-no straight or open
exhausts are permitted. A motorcycle operator license is required.
Passengers are welcome for an additional fee.

ST 502Adventure Motorcycle Tours
Let us guide you on a two-day scamper through northeast Georgia,
western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee which will mix
pavement and unpavement in a way that entwines well-maintained
gravel roads with deliciously twisty back roads. While we
might explore a scenic dead-end or two just for the fun of
riding beside a trout stream, the objective will be to show
riders new to this genre how to string together gravel roads
which actually go somewhere.
Rider-to-instructor ratios will not exceed three-to-one.
Motorcycles must be in excellent mechanical condition with
good tires and suspension capable of riding on rutted, gravel
roads. A motorcycle operator license is required. Passengers
are welcome for an additional fee.

forms of motorcycling today, adventure sport (also dual sport)

AS 202 teaches off-road riding skills and provides students
with experience handling a motorcycle in low-traction conditions.

of straight line riding, shifting, turning, and braking are
presented with an emphasis on lower body control, body positioning,
and weight distribution. Intermediate skills are presented
and practiced as appropriate to the rider's skill level. An
